Liverbird Greetings was established in 1989 and is an independent publisher of calendars, Xmas cards, brochures and leaflets, including local theme products…especially for Liverpool. The proprietor is Hilary Caplan who spent 20 years in advertising with a leading Liverpool agency.

In 1988 Hilary tried to buy a Christmas card with scenes of the city on but couldn’t find anything so decided to publish her own range…these were soon followed by a calendar and both products are still being produced today and are Liverpool’s top selling local theme calendars and cards. The cards can also be personalised for businesses too.

A Liverpool gift range was launched in 2000 and new products are being added every year. Liverbird also produce calendars and cards for Manchester, Birmingham and Hull plus NEW for 2011 will be their Wirral calendar and Wirral Xmas card pack.

Tip1 Get orders out quickly… if a customer has paid, they are waiting for their goods
Tip2 Remember regular customers… even when it’s once a year
Tip3 Always get customer telephone numbers when possible
Tip4 Make sure web site and leaflets are easy to navigate
Tip5 If despatching orders by post, where possible make parcels small enough for cheaper postal bands
Tip6 Make sure all outer packaging is clean and tidy and always include company details both inside and out
Tip7 Never say an order has been despatched when it hasn’t…it’s easy to check when it arrives
Tip8 Include free gifts…everyone loves something for nothing

Tip10 When customers telephone, be nice
